SNIDER COMPETING IN “FALL BRAWL” FOR HICKORY TRACK TIME

-CARS Tour LMSC Points Leader Hoping To Be “As Prepared As Possible” For Finale-

CHARLOTTE (Oct. 22, 2015) – In his effort to be ready to wage battle in the Nov. 1 CARS Tour finale at Hickory Motor Speedway, rising racing star Myatt Snider has entered this weekend’s Calico Coatings Fall Brawl on the 0.363-mile oval.

“We’re coming in there hoping to win the race, but our biggest reason for running it is to be as prepared as possible for the final CARS Tour race there next weekend,” said Snider. “Running this weekend’s race will give us the chance to get in a lot of track time. The Fall Brawl is a 200-lapper and will give us the opportunity to maybe try some things out before we head back for the CARS Tour finale.

“We’re saving our new car – the ‘NASCAR America’ Chevy that we’ve raced in all nine CARS Tour races to date – for next weekend’s race. We’ll be racing the same car we ran at Martinsville (“White Lightning,” the NASCAR Whelen Series car) there this weekend.

“With all that we have on the line next weekend at Hickory, it would really be a feather in our cap to win Sunday’s race and add to our momentum,” Snider added.

Snider enters the Nov. 1 Liberty University 300 at Hickory Motor Speedway atop the CARS Tour LMSC point standings. Heading into the 2015 season finale, Snider has 255 points. Deac McCaskill and Brayton Haws are tied for second with 252 points each.

As for this weekend, the Hickory track schedule calls for a 200-lap feature for the NASCAR Whelen All American Series Bojangles ‘ Late Models, a 100-lap special for the T-Mobile Limited Late Models, 50-laps of racing for the Smokey ‘s Super Trucks, a 50 lapper for the Wrench Rags Renegades, a 25-lap event for the Sportsmen Racing Classics and 35 laps for the 4 Cylinders.

Gates open at 4:45 p.m. on Saturday with racing beginning at 7:00 p.m.
