SNIDER WANTS TO BE “PREPARED AS POSSIBLE” FOR KENLY RETURN
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (May 19, 2015) – Rising racing star Myatt Snider says his Jeff Caudill-led team is on a mission to finish better than the third-place result he scored in his last visit to Southern National Motorsports Park. Snider drove his No. 2 “NASCAR America” Chevy to the third-place finish in the X-1R Performance 300, the inaugural event for the new CARS Tour series, at SNMP on March 28.
“If you look at it in a ‘win, place or show’ perspective, we finished third and did ‘show’ there the last time,” said the affable 20-year-old charger who just completed his sophomore year at Belmont Abbey College. “But we had a shot to win it and are going back on a mission to do even better. We want to be as prepared as possible this time around.
“We are planning on testing there at least once between now and when we race there on May 30,” said Snider. “We have pinpointed three different areas that we think we can get better in and that will be the big focus in our testing.
“We can’t wait to race there again,” added Snider, who finished as runner-up in the SNMP late model points last season. “We’ve done well there in the past, so we’ll definitely bring a lot of confidence with us for the race. We just have to get out there and execute to the level we know we are capable of doing.”
