“AWESOME WAY TO SPEND A WEEKEND”…

…that was the way budding young racing star Myatt Snider referred to last weekend. With no races on his schedule, Myatt took up the offer when he was invited by NTS Motorsports to attend last week’s action at Texas Motor Speedway as their guest. Daniel Hemric drove the team’s No. 14 Chevy in Friday’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series battle. The race was part of a twin-bill with Saturday’s Firestone 600 for the Verizon IndyCar Series. “It was really cool to be able to spend time with Daniel and the NTS guys,” Myatt said.  “I really appreciate them letting me hang out with them and getting a great insider’s view at the truck race. Dad (Marty Snider) and the NBC Sports Network staff were there broadcasting the IndyCar race and I was able to stick around and enjoy rubbing shoulders with them. I really appreciated getting to spend time with Paul Tracy and Townsend Bell and even had the opportunity to chat with Team Penske’s president, Tim Cindric. They had the two-seater IndyCar there and I was able to take a couple of laps with Mario Andretti. That was something I’ll always remember. It felt like we were doing 160 (mph) around the track, but in reality it was probably about 135. It was a great weekend and I was truly blessed to have those opportunities.”
